17 Things I learned in 2017

I can honestly say that 2017 has probably been the biggest growth year I have ever endured. Amazing experiences, drastic transitions, and new seasons of life, are just a few ways I would put this past year into words. Along with all the craziness that took place in the past 12 months, came many new perspectives,  a lot of growing up (i'm trying to stop, trust me ~ ugh #adulting ), and a couple not so fun heart aches. While I could sit here all day long and talk about the lessons the Lord has taught me through all of this, I thought I would just give you 17 short and sweet things that I will for sure be taking with me from 2017.

Daddy knows best. ALWAYS. He is always right, always has been right, and always will be right.

No one in this world could possibly love me more than my parents do.

Calculus is hard. I already thought this, but my suspicious were affirmed.

I definitely do not want to be a biomedical engineer.

There is no sickness that my moms "tender loving care" can't fix.

I am intolerant to gluten. Unfortunately this means i'm kissing my bagels goodbye in the new year.

Sharing a room is harder than you'd think and I will never take my home for granted again.

18 years old doesn't feel much different than 17, except now I can buy my own cough syrup. (Oh, and the college crud is a real thing. Carry hand sanitizer at all costs).

I need alone time. Okay, so maybe i'm a little more introverted that I thought.

I like to take pictures. I mean, ... I really like to take pictures. It's somehow therapeutic for me.

I also love to read. Words that would never have come out of my mouth three years ago.

I am beautiful. The creator tells me so.

The study rooms on the bottom floors of the Thomas Cooper Library have really comfy swirly chairs. I made a lot of memories in those chairs.

CHECK RATE MY PROFESSOR BEFORE YOU REGISTER FOR CLASSES.

I am a HUGE morning person, but I hate 8am classes.

I learn best in black leggings, an oversized yellow shirt, and checkered vans.

I test best in my favorite funky jeans and white platform shoes. "Dress well, test well", am I right ladies!!??!

I'm a glasses wearer. My contacts are overrated.

I can choose not to be stressed, and boy is it a good decision.

Okay so maybe that was 19 things. But hey, who says I follow the rules anyways.

Check out the video down below for some of my 2017 highlights.

STAY FUNKY MY FRIENDS!!! Let's make 2018 the best year yet!!!
